- The car pulls to one side on a flat road
- Inside or outside edges of the front tires are wearing fast
- You have just hit a pothole or a curb hard
Alignment is the service most often sold unnecessarily, so we do it a little differently: every alignment starts with a measurement, and if the car is already in spec we charge you for the check and send you home.
We use a Hunter alignment rack, the same equipment the dealers use, and we adjust all four wheels where the car allows it. You get a printout showing the before and after numbers for camber, caster and toe, with the manufacturer’s acceptable range next to each.
Before adjusting anything we check for worn parts. Aligning a car with a loose tie-rod end or a bad ball joint is a waste of money because the settings will not hold; if we find one we stop and call you.
Alignment is included with any suspension or steering repair we do, and an alignment check is free with any set of tires. Otherwise, a yearly check is reasonable for a car that lives on Omaha streets, and an immediate one is worth it after a hard pothole hit.
